This Red Billed Tropic Bird was seen only 12 miles of shore during the Thunderbird fishing trips out of South Padre Island. The bird stayed with the boat daily even following the boat home. The Captain and deckhands said the bird was there daily for almost four weeks. Recent rain storms over the Gulf have changed the bird's pattern and it has not been seen since.

A Black Whiskered Vireo was seen at the convention center on South Padre Island today, April 23rd, for most of the day. It was found by Marywood Furgeson.
Here is the Brown Booby found by Gavin Beiber during the Harlingen Birding Festival on Nov.12th. This bird is sitting on the whistling buoy almost three miles off shore and was seen thru his spotting scope from the jetties and identified. Way to go Gavin. I filmed it Nov. 14th in the afternoon by going out there on our Panga.
This mutant Laughing Gull has been around for about six years. He had the last laugh on us when we first saw him so long ago and thought we had a rare gull. Well, he is rare among his own kind. Nov 14th
